Day 11
Sat. May 12, 2001

Hi All,
Got an early start this morning. Left Helena about 9am and headed up to Glacier National Park. A lot of the park is still closed for the season, but we still got to see some of it. We traveled almost 500 miles today, That sounds like a lot but the speed limit is 75 out here so you can get place to place fast. Prilly wanted to spend the night on a Mountain lake, so we drove down to Flathead Lake and are staying in a Best Westen in Polson, with a lake side view.

Todays Route
We saw all kinds of country today from high snow covered mountains to flat plains as far as the eye could see.

Helena Montana

Crossing the flat lands looking north into Canada.

Heading for the mountains.

McDonald Falls

On the way out we got a shot of this elk.

This is taken off our balcony at the Best Western. Arby, send us your boat.
The water is still down but the lake will be filled by end of May.
Wild Horse Island state park is not far. But because the lake is down we may not be able to get out there.

You all take care.
Love Prilly & Ralph
